Our Favorite VTubers

Hoshimachi Suisei developed from an independent VTuber into a singer with major-label releases and large concerts. The music career stands on performance and songwriting, not only character loyalty.

Kizuna AI popularized the term 'virtual YouTuber' and established the character-performer format for a broad audience. Her return matters because so much of the current industry follows that template.

Ironmouse built a major live career through singing, fast conversation and collaborations while living with a chronic immune condition. The avatar expands access, but her performance sustains the audience.

Vedal's AI VTuber learns, makes mistakes and responds unpredictably to chat and collaborators. The appeal comes from watching a system and its community shape a character in public.

Gawr Gura's quick comic timing and simple shark persona helped English-language VTubing reach a much larger audience. The streams worked even when viewers knew little about agency culture.

Houshou Marine combines music videos, animation, innuendo and conversational comedy into one tightly managed pirate persona. Each format reinforces the same character rather than feeling like a separate brand extension.

Usada Pekora turns games into fast live comedy through voice, timing and constant interaction with chat. The rhythm carries across the language barrier even before translation.

CodeMiko made her motion-capture suit, virtual set and production failures visible during the show. Treating the technology as part of the performance pushed VTubing beyond a static avatar.

Projekt Melody brought a virtual performer from adult platforms into mainstream streaming conversations. Her career forced the industry to confront audiences and business models it often preferred to ignore.

Mori Calliope built an international rap and pop career alongside regular streams. The records and live shows give the music an identity beyond novelty songs for existing fans.
