Greatest Fights in Women’s Boxing

Taylor and Serrano received the biggest stage women’s boxing had seen and delivered a brilliant, momentum-shifting fight. The fifth round alone justified the occasion.

Wolfe landed a short right hand that left the much taller Ward unconscious in the first round. It remains the sport’s most frightening knockout.

Martin and Gogarty traded power punches for six furious rounds on a major pay-per-view. The fight forced a wider audience to take women’s boxing seriously.

Ali and Frazier-Lyde carried famous family names into a genuinely hard eight-round fight. Their own competitiveness quickly replaced the novelty.

Persoon refused to let Taylor box comfortably, turning ten rounds into constant pressure and controversy. The majority decision still divides careful viewers.

Mayer and Baumgardner’s genuine dislike sharpened a technical fight decided by one scorecard. The split decision created an immediate case for another meeting.

Serrano attacked Hardy relentlessly in the opening rounds, but Hardy’s durability forced the champion to work until the final bell.

Cameron beat Taylor in Dublin through strength, pressure and calm decisions, refusing to be overwhelmed by the homecoming or the champion’s late rally.

Shields and Marshall brought an amateur rivalry to a huge London crowd, then exchanged at a pace that made the undisputed stakes feel worthy.

Taylor changed the rematch with faster starts, harder combinations and a more physical approach. Immediate revenge produced a second excellent fight.
