Live-Service Games We’d Still Start Today
Marvel Rivals, Helldivers 2 and Warframe are still holding their ground on Steam.
1.
Fortnite
Fortnite changes constantly, but its shooting, building and creative modes remain sharp enough that returning players can find a version that fits.
3
2.
Helldivers 2
Friendly fire keeps every clean plan from staying clean, while the short cooperative missions make Helldivers 2 easy to re-enter without daily homework.
3
3.
Marvel Rivals
Familiar heroes, fast matches and destructive team fights make Marvel Rivals easy to understand, while role combinations create enough chaos to stay funny.

4.
Path of Exile
Path of Exile offers a giant skill tree and extraordinary build freedom for players who believe Diablo should require considerably more study.
3
5.
Sea of Thieves
Sea of Thieves is worth starting because its best sessions end with a story about betrayal, weather or incompetence rather than a higher number.
3
6.
Warframe
Warframe's opening hours are confusing, but its extraordinary movement, generous free content and flexible builds reward anyone willing to learn the vocabulary.
2
7.
Final Fantasy XIV
Final Fantasy XIV starts slowly, then expands into one of gaming's strongest long-form stories with a community unusually welcoming to late arrivals.
2
8.
No Man’s Sky
Years of free updates turned No Man's Sky's famous recovery into a genuinely large universe built around exploration, construction and shared expeditions.
2
9.
Destiny 2
Destiny 2's shooting still feels exceptional, although new players must tolerate years of accumulated systems and story decisions around that excellent core.
2
10.
Genshin Impact
Genshin's open world remains remarkably generous to explore, even when the character economy pressures players toward spending and scheduled attention.
